New construction of a car refinish
This new construction welcomes a car refinish, which uses innovative repair techniques. This activity is done under the Wondercar brand, which is part of a national network held by D’Ieteren Immo.
The car refinish activity is complemented by the sale of second-hand cars, My Way.
The industrial function of the building required significant modifications in e.g. storing of spare parts, rooms for analysis and expertise, preparation zones, areas for thin sheet-metal works and reassembly, spray paint booths and washing areas. These had to be analysed in-depth in order to optimize the working and circulation process.
The main principle of simple and pure. The lower part was finished with insulated concrete panels, and the upper part in metallic sandwich panels. The choice for the materials is based on their physical qualities and contribute to the outstanding energetic performance of the building.
The showroom for the second-hand cars is covered with steel awnings equipped with translucid photovoltaic panels, which allow for nice natural lighting of the My Way cars. This area is primarily used for investigating cars which have had an accident. All the areas are easily accessible by persons with reduced mobility.
The layout of the green zones of the site has been construed and realised in order to foster biodiversity.
